The Science and Technology Research Institute (STRI) was officially established in November 21th, 2007. With an approval by KMUTNB University Council, the office is responsible for managing and directing the university’s research policies as well as to be a center of research activities.

The objectives of STRI consist of:

• Administrating university research policies, supporting and directing overall university’s research activities.
• Distributing and pursuing research grants from inside and outside the university along with following up and evaluating research projects ensure effective conduct and maximized outcome.
• Becoming a data center to pass on knowledge for the greatest benefit of the society, for promotion of research into commercial development, and for active application in the teaching practices.
• Promoting and supporting research centers in research activities and encouraging faculties and students to use university provided research facilities.
• Administrating university’s intellectual properties and any benefits resulted from them.
